Where to get oil change supplies for a 4.7 V8V

Where is a good place to get an oil filter that is reasonable and easy to get? I have searched the forum and found a Jaguar filter mentioned. I don't think I want to use a Fram one though. Do you have to replace the drain plugs and washers?? If so, where is an easy reasonable place to find those? What oil are most guys using? Thanks in advance!

Goto your local dealer, all the time spent searching for a cheap easy deal when your changing it yourself, I assume? One stop shopping yes it's $150+ but you don't do it every 3-months!

I got mine from Stuart at Velocity AP. I just sent him an e mail, he has my information and the items arrived.

Have fun!

My dealer wants to charge me $2200 for a 2yr service. I asked what the individual charges were and he said oil change was $750, brake flush was $250 and the rest were various checks and adjustments. So yes it will definitely be worth my time to get the filter, oil etc and do it myself or let my local mechanic do it!

Your dealer is bilking you. I can't imagine what "checks and adjustments" cost an additional $1200. Go to a bmw dealership and buy the oil from them. It should be around $13.00/liter and you'll need about 11 liters, so just go ahead and buy a case. Then get your filter, o-rings and washers from Stuart. If you have a way to lift your car, changing the oil is relatively easy.

I had the dealer do my oil change once. That was a huge mistake, lesson learned. $750 for an oil change is inexcusable. I've changed it myself ever since. I get the oil from BMW and everything else from Stuart.
