Newbie advice
I currently own a 2008 v8v roadster with a manual trans, and also a 2013 991 (also mt). The v8v brings a much bigger smile to my face.... Sound is awesome, and based strictly on street driving (I.e. I have no track numbers to support) it seems equal or perhaps slightly ahead of the 991 in terms of acceleration, with the 991 having a slight handling advantage.
The 991 is my daily driver, and it is great for that - I amcomfortable parking anyplace and put winter wheels/tires and drive it in snow.
If I could only have one car, would probably keep the 991, but if you are looking for a weekend car - I'd go Vantage all the way.
As others have said, newer will have more updates. In my 08 it has the interior updates (cup holders / console) that is same as 2009 but has smaller engine. I was focused on a mt roadster so my options were limited.

Thanks Corey, yes they DB9 MT is a rare beast, and the allure is definitely the V12, just like a Ferrari 456. I just think that at some point in my life, I need to own a manual V12. Thanks for the compliments on the Ducs.
