I'll definitely reach out to you then when it gets to that point. At this rate, I'm sure it will get there. Anyhow - thank you way in advance for your help. It will be much needed.

Oh boy... this is going to get interesting. TCCC estimate is over $8000 more than Geico. Waiting to see whether Geico will approve the supplemental. Fingers crossed!!!

I got backed up into at a traffic light...scrapped the front Audi grill. Then driver wanted to claim that I hit his car and wanted his bumper repaired. Police had to be called and investigate, the driver got toasted when he didn't realize a bank camera recorded the whole event..apparently not the drivers first time doing this!
Since then, I installed a dashcam on a PMP to record all the time and not kill the battery...Best 200$ "insurance" I've ever spent!

So just to put a closure to this thread since I was the OP. My car was repaired by a certified AM collision center which charged $105/hr for labor. Geico, the at-fault party's insurance, only paid $40/hr for labor so I had to pay the difference. The total repair bill was $8,500 which I had to pay $1500 out of pocket. I fought tooth and new w/ Geico to cover the labor difference but they refused to the highest order. Sucks for me.
Then I hit Geico with a DV claim. Of course they ignore the claim at first. This is where you have to be persistent. I was persistent with them and nag them constantly until they finally agreed to have a DV claim representative call me back. Then they want me to provide them w/ some proof that my car warrants DV claim. This is where I did most of the legwork. I contacted AM dealership in this area and was referred to used car sale manager. He was a super guy and was willing to help me out. He wrote me an official letter on company letterhead stating what my car's worth is with and without accident. I provided that letter to Geico and was beyond shocked when they called me back and agreed to pay me the DV claim. Letter stated my car took a $5000 hit because of accident. Geico agreed to pay $4500. So I accepted. The whole process literally took over 2 months. Persistent and hard work pays off. Don't give in to the insurance company so quickly.

Glad to hear it got sorted!
Next time, as soon as the insurance company ignores or undercuts your DV claim, sue the at-fault driver. The insurance company will have to act at that point (if they don't, some states will award you an extra amount to penalize the insurance company for acting in bad faith). Include DV, loss of use, and all out of pocket expenses in your lawsuit.
