So I am considering running ELF 10w60 in my 07 Vantage, anyone have any experience? I have run ELF in other cars and its been great but it appears that this is their motorcycle oil...thanks for the help!

 

MC oils have different additive packages than car oils. I wouldn't use it.

 

I believe (check for yourself) Super moli is the elf brand for a car under the name Motul? it is german made. My indie garage (all racers) use it in their street cars.

 

Dunno if that's the case (I've never looked into it), but Motul makes great products.

Jokes aside..If you look at the back of the bottle, you will see the requirements meet..and then compare to those in the owners manual.

 

If that is motorcycle oil I would not use it. I have used Red Line and it is great.

 

I have to take my post back. Red Line does not make oil for Astons.

 

I was at Laguna Seca a month ago. Talked with the Motul guys and they are just starting to bring 10-60 (Ester based full synthetic) to the States. Should be a great alternative to Castrol.

 

What ever gave you that impression? Just because it's not listed in their app guide? They have plenty of oils that are suitable.

 

I have run Motul in my BMWs in the past. I picked up a case of Total 10w-60 that I will be putting in my 07 V8V next week when I get my filter and o-rings.
