Aston in the Snow

Looks like it can be done, as long as you have Snow tires. I have Blizzak LM-60 and they worked great coming over this 8900-foot pass in the snow.

Ha! Was just picturing the traction control trying to function in the snow! Better water cool the ECU so it doesn't go nuclear trying to figure out what to do.

Very nice! So good to see snow in the Sierras. Hope this El Nino proves worthy and continues to dump on us. Can't wait to get up Tahoe this year, but I will be driving my range rover, not the V8V.

Some of the areas around Mt. Baker are expected to get 54 inches in a 24 hour period this weekend, with up to 12 feet overall.

Im puzzled why many folks think cars like these can not be driven in the winter/snow. All it takes is winter tires. At that point its all about ground clearance.
I drive my Carrera all year round and everyone is gasping when they hear it.
When time comes to get a Vantage its going to be an all year, any season rain or shine affair. That work of art is going to be driven all the time.

Much of the concern is from cost of repairs if damaged, as well as the unavoidable road salt that can cause 'unseen' damage to the underside of the car, suspension, etc. Plus there's an increased risk of accident from other drivers that is disconcerting for most of us.

Like telum says, it's the salt. It really f*cks cars up. If that doesn't bother you, or if you're not planning on keeping the car, sure, an Aston with winter tires should do just as well as any other RWD, low ground clearance vehicle in the snow.

as long as you wash your car at least once a week to get the salt off, you should be fine...but my friend...that is ALOT of washing!
