It worked fine when I put it in the right way. When I put it in the wrong way is when it got stuck. Do you think this would work as there did not seem anything wrong as it worked fine when I did it the right way but it stuck when I put it in backwards.

 

If it was easy before the correct way you should be able to insert a small pick or tool into the hole and gently press downwards then using your index finger from the bottom press up and out. I've done it a few times before.
