Hi guys, wonder if anyone can point in right direction. I have a boot leak on nearside rear. I thought it may be the rear lamp seals but after pulling back carpet and running water down rear screen to test, the water actually seeps out from under the boot trim (as per pic attached). If I pour water on top of the rear lamp, it obviously flows down the side and is then coming out from under the boot trim. I assume I ned to take rear lamp out to check, just wondered if there is anything behind there I should be checking for, or any ideas what may be causing the leak ?
Thank you in advance
My previous DB9 also had a boot leak, but was a dodgy boot seal. This seems to be entering elsewhere ?
I have the same thing on my DB9, although it's more towards the right side rather than your left side. It seems to happen more after I power wash it, rather than after a rain. I thought it might be the weather stripping, but the metal hump before the carpet is dry.
I just discovered this in my own trunk. Did you figure out the source? I cleaned the hatch drains and the seal under the glass passes a visual inspection but I can't figure out how, even with the drains clogged up, it would get over that lip seal and penetrate the trunk.
Not got it back yet. Been a nightmare. Had a new SEN unit a few weeks ago as had weird electrical fault where after turning off ignition, the vehicle would not shut down properly (dials and radio etc would stay on). Did it again, and also locked me out for 3 days ??? So it is in at the moment and had a new fuse board somewhere that apparently full with water. They still have it for testing and not sure if they have done the rear leak yet, but as soon as I get it back, I will let you know.
The consensus elsewhere seems to be either clogged hatch drains (I've cleared them out with both blowing into them and vacuuming from underneath), a broken third lamp seal, or de-lamination of the floor area bonding to the rest of the bodywork. I can't verify the last one, but fingers crossed this is fixed. Hopefully yours is as simple Tuddsy.
