Water slushing in Rear Whell

Hey Guys

After a big rain storm water it seems that water has built up inside my rear well of my DB9 Volante. When I drive I hear water slushing around behind the driver side. Is there an easy way to drain that out? Not worried how it got there because obviously I should garage or cover the car. But for now I’m sure it can’t be good to have all that water sitting there.

Anyone experience this? What should I do?

Maybe I wasn’t clear. The water is inside the body panel. Slushing back and forth by the rear quarter panel.

Several methods you could do, first locate by removing interior panels and seat trim for access and stuck it out with a shop vacuum. Unless you don't see it then it has migrated into the tub rail's which are sealed with expansion foam. If you look there is a few open holes that you can poke and prod into the foam to create an exit. Use a floor jack to lift either end to aid in removing water. I don't recommend drilling any holes unless you believe that it's the only way as a las resort.

common issue -- i experienced the same with my V8V

there are drainage holes in the side skirts that get blocked up -- simple fix just lift the car or take it to a garage, and have them unblock the drainage holes

Thanks. Any chance anyone has a picture of these drains in the under body side skirts?

Just to close the loop on this and to help anyone on the future with this issue...I took the db9 to a body shop and they raised the car slightly and found the drain hole and it was clogged. Here’s a video of the water releasing. As part of my regular service I’m going to make sure that hole is clear. It’s that there is only one hole on the rear driver side. There doesn’t seem to be a drain hole on the passenger side. Happy motoring everyone!!
