If the whole system cuts out then the problem lies somewhere that affects everything. Unfortunately I couldn't tell you where to begin to look.

There's a guy in the UK who's posted a lot on Pistonheads and who seems to know more about these audio systems than even the engineers at Aston Martin. His name is James Hawkes-Reed and he works at a company called trackaphone, maybe you can find a way to contact him either through trackaphone or on Pistonheads where I believe his username is "trackaphone".
Thanks! I will send him a private message.

911MTB is infamous around these parts
I think I have found the part on Astonmartincarparts.com. It shows a "Bluetooth Switcher Kit" part number 7G43-37-11054. Here's a link that may or may not work, not sure if you have to be logged in:
http://www.astonmartincarparts.com/diagram/astonmartin/v8-vantage/electronic-features/bluetooth-subsystem/156-815-25044.html
Does anyone know if this is the correct part? Here's the diagram, part #8

Thanks

The part I referenced is $181.63 US exc VAT according to the website. Is this a reasonable price?

Sorry, I read the wrong part.
Any part for the Aston for less than $200 dollars is reasonable.

Can anyone confirm that this is in fact the correct part that needs to be replaced?

Yes it reasonable. I'm a bit surprised AM doesn't require you to buy an entire new dash to replace this part.

Thanks! I priced the part out at my Canadian dealer, $420! I have ordered it from Aston Martin Parts. Even after the shipping and exchange I should still save over $100 from what the local dealer wants.

Switch kit arrived today. I'll install it tomorrow and do a write up. Looks completely different than the drawing in the parts diagram.

That's what the one I got looks like. You don't have to remove the old one if you don't want to, just unplug it and plug in the new one. There's plenty of room for both of them in there, and the new one won't mount the same way anyway.

Mine just shipped. I'm relieved to see that it is the revised part so hopefully the problem is permanently resolved.
