Coolant type
Not trying to be difficult here...The dexcool is orange according to there specs and mine is pink. If it was a junk car I would not even hesitate to mix. I am just trying to figure out what brand or spec the pink is?
If you perform a colour analysis and add equal parts of orange( yellow + red) with pink, you get pink(sort of)
See attached.
My guess is that if you add some orange coolant and stir it up it will still look pink and no one(except us) will know

Cloneman, if the coolant is still servicable, just top it up with some distilled water if it is only a pint low or so, if it is lower than that, Volkswagen has some early 2000's coolant that was pink. Zerex Extended Life HD is red and may appear pink when diluted. It is an OAT coolant.

The VW and Audi derivatives are OAT Glycerin based coolants.
Good research. Glad you figured it out. I assume hat coolant is only available at a VW dealership.
