Cayman coolant leak?
Cayman coolant leak?
Last 400 kms I added about 300 milliters of coolant(distilled water). Today I spotted some amount of water next to right rear wheel. I am not sure about the color, something like really faded pink. Car is 2009 Cayman S
Thank you very much in advance

Sounds like overflow
The coolant overflow is by the right rear wheel. Perhaps you slightly overfilled the coolant reservoir. The car is OK to drive. When the coolant is low there will be an indication on the dash and when it is hot there will be another indication at which point you should not drive the car.
Porsche coolant is either pink or greenish-yellow.

You might want to also check the blue coolant cap on the coolant reservoir ( under the engine cover ). Porsche revised the cap design. I believe the last digit of the part number should be 4.
Two other problem areas could be the water pump or the coolant tank might be cracked.
Good luck.

I've actually got set of torxs. But they are for screwdriver with interchangeable end (english is not my native language, so I hope it makes sense) and my engine cover is screwed so tight, that I can not loosen it. So I want to buy torx key (?). And do not want to buy whole set, because I dont think I will need it. Thanks
But I got new drops under center of the engine, but really only like 3 drops and small puddle again near right rear tyre (in puddle I mean like 0.3 of a cup at most) and after longer investigating I found, that some moisture was around air inlets right before the engine on underbody - I think they are these:

any idea what is above those inlets? some coolant hoses or tanks?
Thanks in advance !
The rear under tray you pictured needs to be removed and then you can see the bottom of the water pump and thermostat. It is likely your water pump is leaking. It is recommended ( by LN Engineering ) to replace it with a genuine Porsche water pump and do so every four years like spark plugs. There are no known better pumps unfortunately. The aftermarket pumps may have metal impellers that destroy the block when they fail. You should have pink Porsche ( Pentosin ) coolant in your car. If you have green coolant someone took a short cut and used regular coolant. Use distilled water rather than tap water too. My 987 went through two replacement pumps. Search for some water pump articles on Pelican or P-9 to see what has to be done. Bleeding the system requires a few cycles with the bleeder valve lever open on the coolant tank open unless you have access to a vacuum coolant filler like an Airlift.
Good luck.
Make note that two of the water pump bolts are longer than the rest.......
