Coolant type

Coolant type
I changed out my thermostat this weekend and the current coolant is pink. I would like to just top it off rather than a full flush since it was done not long ago by the previous owner. I know people have mentioned you can mix most oat type coolants even if color is different but I would like it to match. The only thing o have found was jaguar fluid that appears pink but is fairly pricey. I also found zerex Asian hoat coolant that appears like it may work and it's pink. I am in the us so I know my options are limited on some options.

Yes, it's OAT and it's color is described as ORANGE. Mixed with water it's more like pink. Any parts store has it. Doesn't get any easier than that.

Boy it's hard to believe mine is orange with water in it. It truly looks pink to me? Any feedback on the zerex Asian version coolant? It appears that it is a hoat coolant and in fact is pink?

So your thinking it's actually red not pink? I am going to pull some out today to confirm. Maybe when it hit the floor the grey floor color made it appear to be pinkish...

hoat is a little different than oat. I've red on it but just don't recall the difference between the two. I think hoat is the extended life version of oat. Anyway, Aston Martin recommends oat. (As per 2009 Vantage owner's manual)

I actually read the manual last night and did see that. So can anyone tell me what brand is pink that is 0at and not orange? I checked this morning before work and pulled some fluid out of the reservoir and it is in fact pink.

A local indie that I used to work with (he moved) used Valvoline Zerex G-05 in Astons. A buddy of mine used that to top off his when I changed his thermostat a few months ago. Haven't heard of any issues from either of them.
It's white and gold. Jeesh
