Can you please post some before photos of the paint that you corrected? Also, please list the stages and steps that you took. Rupes/ Flex/ PC, what speed/ pads/ polishes? My Vantage S is Lightning Silver, so far easier than black, and I am interested in learning what you experienced in paint correcting black AM paint. Please provide all details.

Catman----- PM me and I will walk you through everything offline. No issue will have you taken care of. Working with other members for this also.
Read the Vanquish thread on first page and I wrote some more info.
Gene---- great job it appears. Did you coat it with anything??? You should glass coat the wheels for sure while they are perfect. Make your life simpler in the future. Let us know, glad to see someone do this.

Hey Cattman.
I didn't take any pictures before to show the condition of the paint.
It really wasn't that bad just not good enough for me. I had clay barred and waxed it after I got the car, but this time I took my time to get done right.
First I clay barred using Griots quick detailed as a lubricant. Then used Griots new correction cream and a orange pad on the orbital buffer, and a handheld 3" pad with some pressure on the bad spots. Then followed with Griots #3 polish again with orange pad and the orbital. Followed with Griots best of show wax on a red pad and the orbital. Buffed by hand with a blue microfiber and finished with a yellow microfiber. Took the wheels off cleaned the wheel wells and brakes. Painted the rotor hubs with silver high temperature paint.Cleaned and coated both the front and the barrel of the wheels with Rejex and buffed with a yellow microfiber. Then used Meguiar's Gold Class Quick Detailer for black cars.
The Meguiar's was a gift from Bill Warner and is one of the best thing I have ever used for black or dark colored paint.
So today I started on our SL by first doing the wheels and wheel wells. Tomarrow will start the process all over on the SL. It is in better shape than the Aston as it has never been in the rain. The last show it was at it got best of show. So it should come out really good, and will take it to Cars and Coffee in Jacksonville to meet up with the Southern Stars chapter of MBCA.

It's amazing how much Onyx pops once you do a proper detail bc of all the metal flake in it.
PS... Love the DBS wheels, very sexy combo.
Only think I would change is dumping the mud flaps, other then that car is perfect

Being a bit crazy when it comes to the condition of my cars the mud flaps help to cut down on nicks and scratches from driving. Yea the metallic in the Aston paint is much more than in the Mercedes and it makes the paint come alive.
