09 DBS console clock gremlins

The clock on my DBS rewinds itself back to 12 every time upon startup. It never really seem to keep track unless I am driving then resets back to 12 upon shutdown. Are these gremlins that need attention or it this normal?

maybe it's marty telling me it's time to go back to the future?

It sounds like your clock is in some kind of drive timer mode. Since there (to my knowledge) isn't such a thing I'd say your sat-nav is probably messing with it due to the GPS clock being off. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes and reconnecting it to see if that resets both the gps and console clock? Make sure it's outside when you do it to get uninterrupted signal.

I'm purely guessing btw... I'm no AM technician. But it seems logical to me.
