Thanks! Do you have a build thread or any costs for it?
I am looking at upgrading my brake calipers from 4 pot fronts to 6 pot which may need new bearings which then started me down this rabbit hole...
I didn’t take any photos during the work. The parts were expensive I don’t recall the amount. Labor was simple, very straight forward, just changing the hubs. The rotor hats did not line up with the center lock hub drive pins so had to be machined to fit. If you order rotors for a GT8 with centerlocks they will line up. If you are changing calipers, you will likely change rotors as well. I had HRE custom make a set of wheels.
I do the job for :the V8S brake upgrade.
You need (prices are VAT exclude) :
- News 6 pots calipers (1 100 € x 2) with bolts and wheel spacer (3 or 4 mm or new wheels)
- News brake discs (1 000 € x 2)
- News brake shields (40€ x 2)
- News knuckles (520 € x2)
- And pads.
You can find used parts too.
I sell my complete V8 Vantage S brake system (because I've installed centerlockwheel with CCM brake system) :
- the 2 front hub carriers (knuckles) of the V8 Vantage S with heat shields ;
- the 2 front 6-piston V8 Vantage S brake calipers;
- the 2 front brake discs on V8S original aluminium bowl in 385 mm diameter;
- the 2 rear 4-piston brake calipers ;
- the 8 PAGID RSL 29 pads (without wear sensors) ;
- the 8 original BREMBO pads (with wear sensors).
The 2 front hub carriers (knuckles) of V8 Vantage S were bought new.
The 4 calipers are covered in orange ceramic with the inscription Aston Martin S.
They are completely rebuilt: dismantling, stripping, new seals and dust covers.
The whole installed the 19/03/2017 on my vehicle with 77 590 km.
Today my vehicle totals 82 942 km I sell the whole 5 000 €.

hi Bruno. Interested in these. What are the discs from as thought standard was 380mm? I have requested to add you on Facebook and sent you a pm on there
There are two king of discs on the V8 Vantage S :
- Mines I measured it 385 mm
- And the others like this one
For the CCM disc I take the Vanquish ones because the Aston center lock system have the same center bore and PCD than the Vanquish not the same than the V12 Vantage one.
The front and rear Vanquish calipers are the same than the V12 Vantage one (but different than the V8 Vantage S).
At first I try to use the V8 Vantage S whith the CCM discs but they don't match...
For the wheel I sell the V12 Vantage ones. Take a look on my Facebook.
The center lock conversion was a priceless challenge.
I was very lucky to find used GT12 wheels. A single brand new wheel costs more than £ 6,000.
Does anyone know the part number of the V8S 6-pot calipers - and/or anyone knows if the Rapide 6-pot calipers are the same?
(Rapide L/R PN AD43-2C463-xx AD43-2C462-xx (last 2 digits are colour code))
