What about programmers like the one vcollection sells? Are those junk or legit? I like the idea of loading my own flash and having control over the hardware (ie. feels more like I own something and am not just shipping my ECU back and forth).
Hi Smoky,

This is what you need. O2 Sims can deal with cat efficiency warning lights but sometimes other issues come up. We have been writing software for these cars for years, and in addition to managing emissions warnings, we've shown independently tested dyno-proven gains anywhere from 24-31WHP.

Our VTech hand-held programmers are able to store multiple modified files, in case you upgrade to headers etc. further on down the line.

The two best tunes are Velocity AP and Eurocharged. Both are great. The eurocharged tune makes about 3-4 more HP and revs to 7700pm redline. However, the Velocity AP tune has the remote handheld tuner which is a really nice functionality. Eurocharged does not have this functionality, but their tunes are uploaded directly via the OBD2 port at any of the dozen or so certified shops around the country. It's really just a case of which one is easier for you.

If you live close to EC rep, go with them 7700rpm sounds absolutely epic. If you don"t then definitely go with Velocity AP for ease & convenience. The rest of the tunes out there are are not nearly as close in power gains so either one of these two works great
