Lithium ion battery

I read that the Aston Martin GTE, GT8 and GT12 have a lightweight lithium ion battery.

The battery brand for the GTE is Super B
Is it the same battery brand for the GT8 and the GT12 ?

Do you know the part number of these batteries ?

I found the following batteries:
GTE – SB12V20P-FC - http://www.super-b.com/en/automotive...-1/sb12v20p-fc
GT12 – SB12V25P-SC (4,2 kg) - http://www.super-b.com/en/automotive...-1/sb12v25p-sc
GT8 – SB12V25P-SC (4,2 kg) - http://www.super-b.com/en/automotive...-1/sb12v25p-sc

It's recommended to use this too :
SB-BDB-250 – http://www.super-b.com/en/accessories/relays/sb-dbd-250

If the pictures are accurate, you'll need adapters to fit any of those batteries into the car.

If your purpose for doing it is to reduce weight, you are much better off doing 2 piece brake rotors. The relative weight reduction will be significantly greater when you factor in the rotating unsprung mass factor.

This is expected as soon as my disks are dead.
Front : I hesitate between Brembo Track day and Gran Turismo Brake Kit (6 Pot Calipers and 380x32 brake disc)
Rear : Brembo Turismo

I had the 2 piece brembo direct swap rotors, they are very light but not cheap. I know some of the vendors on this site well 2 piece for a very reasonable price.

The effects from 2 piece rotors are massively more profound than a lightweight battery. I promise you won't feel any difference from s lightweight battery, where as 2 piece rotors affect everything about how a car brakes, handles, accelerates and rides. Best money you can spend on weight reduction hands down. Nothing else comes close

Thanks and best regards,

Brembo
-- Track day : 2 pieces rotor disk 355x32 (around 2k$)
-- GT BBK : 6 pistons caliper, 2 pieces rotor disk 380x32 (around 4k$)
-- GT-R BBK : 6 pistons caliper, 2 pieces rotor disk 380x32 (around 8k$)
vented titanium piston inserts, forged billet monobloc construction, narrow or wide body calipers for endurance or sprint racing pad shapes/sizes, clear hard anodized surfaces for maximum heat dissipation, integral bridges for maximum caliper stiffness or open top calipers for quick pad changes.

Other manufacturers : Wilwood, AP Racing, Performance Friction, etc...

Did you buy a lightweight battery in the end? Curious as to which battery and did you buy the mounts etc?

I installed a SuperB SB12V25P-SC battery.
This model is the same as those mounted in the GT8 and GT12.
I created a 3d printed support to use the original lead battery fasteners.

Very nice! thank you!

Do you need to still keep a battery charger / trickle charger with a battery like this? Do they run down quicker if not in use or last better?

Dont suppose you fancy selling a 3d printed adapter do you?

That price is about right. I have a couple of cars that ran on Lithium (not this brand). One of the cars is about 15 years old. Not a single problem. And it comes with a auto cut-off so it doesn't drain all the way.

Do you have pictures of the OE vs SuperB install in the car?
