Perhaps someone who has had this warranty can clarify a couple of things:
The brochure above says clutch is included. Further down it says wear items not included. I'm assuming that if a clutch prematurely wore out it would not be covered?
Also the maintenance schedule at year 4 says manual transmission oil and filter cleaned as well as differential oil and filter cleaned. Does the manual tranny and diff on these have filters or is there some fine mesh type filter that can be cleaned out with brake cleaner. (I'm midst replacing all fluids -these included but haven't researched the job yet)
Curious also to why it says manual only and no reference to auto trannies?
In looking at the prices and labour estimates the year 2 service is priced the same as year 4 despite the extra jobs cited in year 4. How come?
I bought an am that was a few months short of its 10 year anniversary. Took the money I would have spent on buying an extended warranty and put it into pm items. Only thing that has me concerned is the clutch but I have a feeling despite the brochure the failure of the clutch would be deemed a wear item. (Even though it had only 7800 miles).
So far I've spent just under $4k CDN but that includes clear film and ceramic protection, & a new custom cover. Still need to change all tires but none of this would have been covered anyway. The prices quoted earlier would have put a 2 year ext warranty for me ( if feasible) at about $10k CDN. I probably would have passed even if it were offered and put $10k into the car.
