Finally,

Front Lip by V3 Collection. This lip looks fantastic on the car!!!! Fitment was great and the weave and finish was or appears perfect. Here are some good shots of it, so anyone contemplating getting this for their DB9 they have a great idea. Now the car has Velocity AP lowering springs on it, and there appears to be plenty of clearance underneath. There are two driveways , mine and neighbors, that the car needed to clear and I was slightly worried. ON an angle there is exactly 1/2 inch clearance. But nowhere did I worry about it scraping.

Really nice looking DB9, take care of yourself overseas... I guess I was thinking of something else when I was typing, sorry about that... :-)

Finally

1. I plan on getting the 08'MY center console from Ambits made for the specific car.

2. I am thinking of getting the VelocityAP headers, so I can eliminate the possible issue of the catalytic convertors coming apart and damaging the engine. Likely not going to happen, but slightly worried. Headers solves that.

3. I want to get the Velocity AP tune. I have it bought, and its at hone. But, it takes a PC not Apple to download and up load the tune and I dont have one. So never got that chance to upload the car program. I only hope Stuart will honor the purchase next year when I get home or I wasted over 1k and will have to source another. It will be about 15 months since purchase by then.

4. Will get glass switches to finish off interior, and then get the Denison actually hooked up. Rich installed it for me, but I never got around to swapping the fiber optic wires around and make use of it. Just didnt have the time before I had to return.

Finally the car was put in neighbors garage and put to bed. I have my father starting it up once a month and driving it around the neighborhood to keep it running correctly.

Beautiful simply beautiful, the black paint looks stunning like if you touched it it would ripple. Stay safe, and come back soon.

Looks fantastic my friend! So glad you like it! I agree with you on the copper not really being the correct color.. But I do love the copper idea and I'd love to see you run with it and try again with a different powder coat.

Be safe over there..its been a heck of a journey getting this deal done but it seems like it's been worth it in the end. Great job Rich with all the work done in a very short time!

Eh, I don't think either of us were too happy with how a lot of it turned out. The maintenance was straight forward and easy, but much of the mods didn't work out right. I'm still really upset with the powdercoater and I'm not using them again after this. The rear diffuser is absolutely beautiful and really transforms the rear of the car, but the fitment was off for the rear parking sensors. I didn't want to cut things up given the short timeframe because there'd have been no time to recover if anything went wrong (and everything was, soooo I wasn't going to bet against that happening).

Things just didn't come together during this - everything from having three weeks instead of eight down to the wrong parts being sent out to parts missing from orders to things showing up late... it was rough. Andrew's been incredibly understanding, and went out of his way to calm me down a few times when I was pulling my hair out. Regardless, the car is awesome and Andrew's got a great eye for details, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with it.

Andrew - It was great having you here despite the circumstances, and you really are working wonders with that paint. Stay safe out there!

Great looking car. Your paint is like a mirror! i wish my db9 was like that to manny swirls and stone chips. I think the wheels are to small/ not bad *** enough. 20 inch DBS style would be better. And please get rid of your us license plate holder DBS/ EURo spec will look so much better. Be safe!

Don't do the clear brushed look for your HREs, I had that for mine and while they look great, the durability of it sucked.

Even with the low dust pads the brakes are very dusty, I didn't have time the clean my wheels often (maybe once a month, or once every 2 drives), and the the brake dust burnt themselves into the clear on the wheels and was an eye sore for the rest of my ownership

I am switching over to BC Forged due to the 12k cost of the HRE. That's a little ridiculous. But a nice DD Merc for that amount.

BUT, I always coat my wheels with 22PLE HPC Glass Coating, which helps keep the brake dust from settling on the wheels. ALso allows for just soap to clean them back up perfectly. IF its the clear sprayed on the wheels that is the problem, I have factory Vantage S wheels that were sepecially painted and then re-cleared and with the 22PLE glass coating, have not had any issue with that yet. SO attempting to equate the issue. I also for the most part never have a dirty vehicle more than a day, however that might not still have prevented your issue. But thanks for the warning, the BC Forged would be in Brushed Clear. My only options are Brushed Clear, Gunmetal Gloss, or straight Silver. I only like the B Clear. So will have to think about it.
