Ss2 tcu upgrade

A lot has been posted about the benefits of tcu upgrade to the SS1.
We all know of the betterment of the SS2 , but I haven't seen much talk of its further improvement with a tcu tune. Has anyone upgraded their SS2 seven speed with tuners such as RSC ? If so , I would like to learn of the results.

We can do it. It's not as much of a leap forward as ASM1, but it's worthwhile.

If you combine with the Twin Plate clutch it's a quantum leap forward.

Hey Stu, can you explain why the TCU upgrade plus twin clutch is such a leap forward? Is it the reduction in rotating mass specifically? Or the increase in clamping force on the pressure plate ' sharper engagement point? have you quantified an exact shift time improvement in milliseconds (100ms etc)?

Rotating mass, yes. The physical clamping force is actually lower, not increased. Because it is a twin plate, less physical spring force is required to achieve the same (or in this case greater) clamping load. Therefore faster actuation.

No, we have not quantified an exact shift time improvement.

Stuart, Do you have a link to the TCU upgrade you offer? I can't find any information on your website. All I see is the full ECU stage upgrades.

Need to get it listed up there. Is $1295, includes return shipping of the Computer.

Thanks for the quick response... When you get a moment can you summarize the benefits on the SS2 for those not familiar. I have the opportunity to pick up a 16 V8V GT but so far I've been hesitant to do because of the transmission performance.
