2016 vantage gt purchase
Have been in the market off and on for a V8V for the past 5 years..never pulled the trigger. Have been lured back by some very interesting pricing(20-25%) on the few leftover 2016. I realize that they depreciate like a rock under normal circumstances, but with the new model comming out in 2 years, will that really put me behind the curve?
Thanks
Peter

I am not sure if it is ok to speak about price on the board..but have a deposit on a 16 gt cab.. at 30% off ...local car, the only issue is the "lipstick" ..and just found out that it doesnot meet side impact standards.

I received a 25% discount on my new 14' V8V.
I purchased it in May 2015.
Is this 16' new?

Mine is coupe.
With only 540 miles, not much has gone wrong
The display module containing the speedo and tach became disfunctional.
Obviously replaced under warranty.
Wonderful to drive
Mine is a manual trans

I am going back and forth between a cab and a coupe..the cab they are offering 30 off. The coupe is about 22 off. The only negative of the cab is the firmer suspension and the fact that it is a gt with its associated graphics(not what i expect of a "British Gentleman")

I have a 2016 GT coupe that I just bought this last August. It had 2800 miles on it ( it was an Aston press car). I got $23,000 off and a lot thrown in as well. Clear bra, car cover, radar detector installed, 1 year of warranty and the first service. Mine is a stick, I traded in my 2007 Vantage on this one.
It is a great car, the 2016's have the updated waterfall from the Vanquish.

i can get a 150,000 gts for 118,000 with 3 year warranty. Curious to know what the difference is between a gt and a gts?
Again, my other issue is they are discounting these cars so much, what will be their value in 3 or 4 years??
Thanks for your reply

Dude, these types of questions should not be in the equation. Either you want to drive a Vantage V8, or you don't. in 2018 there will be a new one with an AMG engine at it's heart. If you are not adverse to an Aston with an AMG engine, then you should wait. If you are, then the deal before you is a good one.

The GTS is a run out Edition of the Vantage with 100 units produced for 2016. Obviously each car is numbered and they pretty much come loaded, there are two versions a luxury and a the sport model. It is not all that different from the Vantage GT except the Vantage GT was meant as an entry-level price car with more performance oriented equipment Standard. The Vantage GT was also available for two model years 2015 & 2016. I believe they were less 2016 Vantage GT's produced than 2015 GT's.
As far as the discounts go that is usually what happens toward the end of a model year. However like I said in previous post, when you're buying the last of a model run with a manual transmission and an Aston Martin specific engine. I do believe down the road many years from now, if kept in good condition they will be worth more than a standard Vantage. Like others have said it's always good to try for the best deal possible, but if the deal is more important than the car than this is not the right brand for you.
