2018 Aston Martin Vantage - camo with sound clip
I searched out a 2010 because I didn't like the 2012 revisions. Needless to say I love my car and whatever this looks like without the camo, I'm still going to love my car.
Did somebody say 700HP? I could learn to love that.

All that camo and taping, etc. makes it very hard to really tell what's going on. The talk has been that the Vantage will be more visually different from the DB11 than the previous gen Vantage to the DB9, so I'll wait to pass judgement until we actually see it uncamo'd. That exhaust note though... yeesh. The good news is, we are prob almost a year away from reveal, and exhaust notes can be tuned to a large extent, so Aston has the opportunity to retain a note much closer to what the V8 puts out today. But will they....
I agree that the new bumpers were uglier than the older vantages. It is something about the black inserts in the front bumper and rear bumper I just do not like. However, the new ones are supposed to steer tighter and brake better. They also have slightly newer tech, if that is something you care about.
I updated my Vantage from a beautiful 09 to what I thought at first was a far less attractive 15 GT (Because of the bumpers). However, now that I live with the car everyday, I'm liking the newer look better, to the point where I think they are both almost equally attractive. I'm guessing the new rear diffuser has much less of the rear warping problem of the earlier versions.

Not that I don't like the idea of the 6 piston calipers, or the Garmin nav, and when I started considering 2012.5+'s I started to warm up to the splitter and diffuser and any Vantage is a beautiful car. But I still like the original lines better, I use my phone for nav sitting in the cup holder, and there's nothing lame about the 4 piston calipers. Bottom line what really turned me off [pun] was the 17 seconds it takes to turn off the traction control. It's bad enough it takes 6 seconds on the pre 12's, but adding the extra 10 seconds to switch out of track mode, what are they thinking over there in *******?! Turning off TC should take 1 push of the button, not a hold for 6 seconds while trying to fiddle with the seat belt, emergency brake, and getting it into reverse. I've learned to get it all done in the 6 seconds, but why should I have to?
On my Z it's just push, no hold. That's the way every car should be. No idea why AM makes such a process out of turning TC off. I don't want any TC on, I'm having fun finding out the limits of the car right now.
Looks a lot like the DB11... wheelbase even looks pretty long I'd have to see it in person without all the camo crap on it to judge as pictures usually don't do these cars justice

Very DB11ish. Too much so IMO. Mixed in with some Zagato? I'm preparing myself for disappointment. Or maybe relief that I have the one of the most beautiful cars ever built and will continue to? But I want AM to thrive and am not sure about that happening going forward. They have given the cars lots more power, but what about the beauty and soul parts?
