Please send me all aftermarket wheels photos you might have on your car. It's so hard to choose the "IT" one. Too many options.

BTW: Going to sell my V12 wheels/tires set. pm me if interested, & still have set of brand new Zagato wheels too.

007--- this is just something I thought about when Looking at all the pictures of the V8Vs with 20" wheels.

I think the HRE P101s or the similar ones like PikaJew got are the best looking on a Vantage almost by far. Same for any Aston.

Not sure, but the 20's almost seem too big (tall) for the wheel on the car. the 20's look good on a DB series due to the car being larger, but just take a look at all the pictures with V8s running 20's. The wheel takes away I think of the total picture. (its the amount of metal in the wheel well area I think) ERA got a set of 19's and Montana's BC Forged are 19's and they are going to run wider than stock stuff, so see if they can post up some pictures here so they can be compared. I do think it might make a visual difference. Maybe not, but thought I would put this thought out there. The car will actually ride better on 19's as a byproduct due to more rubber.

Just a thoug ht sir

I think it depends on what you are trying to solve for. I stepped up to the 20 inch P101's and have lost rotating mass over the lightweight 19 inch OEM five split sport pack wheels. The 20 inch wheels give the car a whole different level of presence, especially with the offsets. At the last cars and coffee I had 10 times the interest on the car and it was all because of the wheels and the stance in person.

That said I have also kept my 19 inch OEM sport packs and put cup tires on them for the track.

i think the perception of 20" wheels being too big on a Vantage partly stems from the tire sizes. most ppl don't go wider or taller than 305/25. i run 325/25 in the rear and as a result gives it a meatier look, as opposed to looking like riding on rubber bands. my 0.02.

Agree with you. I don't understand this obsession with rubber bands, the lack of tire wall ruins the ride. The reduced compliance also reduces grip on any thing but the smoothest track.

Looking at a calculator the best option is probably a 295/30R20 which is 0.4% taller than a 285/35R19. If you want to see proper tires and side walls google images of the original GT40 and then tell me we need low profile tires to look cool.

I didnt mean my posting above to bash the OPs thought of getting 20's. I am personally getting 20's on my DB9, because I think it looks better than the 19's.

However, I am staying 245/35 in the front which is very close to dead on rolling roundness to OEM. I thought about 255/35 or 30 but either way that takes it too far away from OEM. Would it help, not likely traction wise. Plenty of supercars run 245's on the front. Not tracking the car anyway so likely makes no difference.

For the rear I went 285's. Are 295's possible with a DB9. Sure. But your 10.5-11in wide wheel will end up sticking out a tad like the DBS wheels do. So I went 10in, and 285/30. That again, is within OEM specs for jumping up sizes.

The 35's allow for most bumps and road mishaps to be soaked up and still allow for a nice ride. Again it depends on your side wall stiffness. Hankook's have very stiff sidewalls, but the M PSS are fairly flexible compared. So one will definitely give a better ride at the same size. I think 30's are starting to push the limit on comfortableness. The sidewall is beginning to get really thin, so wont soak up the bumps as well. But, for a Sunday drive, its just fine. For a DD, maybe not unless a little bit of rougher ride doesnt bother you. In the end, I bet no one can really tell that much or the difference in ride overall.

What I meant by pointing out the 19's is the the combination of metal wheel and tire looks fairly proportionate on the Vantages. When going to a 20in wheel, the metal part starts filling up the well too much visually, but the overall side picture of the cars, the wheels look slightly to large for the size of car. That is my biggest point. Hope that makes sense. Wish I could photoshop 2x cars and compared in one pic side by side below, but cannot do that on work comp.

to be fair though, bc aspect ratio is just that, a ratio, the 325/25s i run have only 4.25mm less sideway height than the 285/30s you're going with. just an example, at the end of the day it's personal taste, tire brand (as you also mentioned) and what you can live with in terms of ride comfort.

Have anyone used or using 255/40/19 & 295/35/19 Michelin tires? I want to get little bit more meat on sidewall, thinking if end up using 19 inch wheels I'd like to go with that size.

235/40/19 is the stock front tire size for both the DB9 and V8 Vantage.

235/40/19 is stock tire
255/40/19 is .6" taller and +2.3% diameter which is 61.4 MPH while 60 is indicated

255/35/19 is only .4" smaller and -1.5% diameter and is 59.1 MPH while 60 is indicated

Seems either you can go with, about the same either way. IF you go with 20" wheels I find the 245/35/20 is the best to go with for my DB9

For the rear:

275/35/19 is stock tire

295/35/19 is .5" taller and +1.7% diameter and 61.1 mph while 60 is indicated

305/30/19 would be your larger alternative choice.

295/30/19 is way off.

295/35/19 appears to be the best within specs for you to run. Should not be much different ride wise than stock, but the wheels will be wider.

For 20" and using 275/35/19 as the stock tire for my DB9 I figured the 285/30/20 is the best size to go with. Could I have gone to a 295/30 sure, but it wont fit the wheel well as well, its what the DBS uses. SO the 285 worked best on mine.

I hope this helps you out, thought I would try and show the specs, had a few moments at work to do this.
