Just let the dealer install the AM bluetooth upgrade for Euro 700 all in (pre 2008 models are more expensive because of extra hardware). Very good choice, since it is fully integrated and adds some more bluetooth phone options as well (for full specs see other thread).

Indeed, that's why I decided so spend Euro 700 (incl install, MY08 or later!) for the original BT upgrade: http://www.astonmartin.com/en/access...etooth-upgrade

In this way track/title info is displayed, and controls on the steering wheel work (volume +/-, next/prev track).

Also some other new features are included:
 Introduction of Bluetooth audio streaming (A2DP), allowing music to be played wirelessly through the car audio system
 Compatibility with the latest smartphones, including Apple, Android, Windows and Blackberry
 Larger phonebook access – 2500 contacts, up from 750 previously
 Fast scroll –the tone rotary controller can be used to quickly scroll though phonebook contacts by first letter or through tracks during audio streaming
 Two call handling, giving the opportunity to switch to a new incoming call during an existing one
 Full call list synchronisation, making the most recent missed calls, received calls and recently dialled numbers available on the display screen
 Phonebook synchronisation, ensuring a complete update of stored contacts each time the phone connects via Bluetooth
 Updated phonebook symbols to distinguish between home, work and mobile numbers saved against a contact.
 Microphone gain – sensitivity is now adjustable to allow for different phones and driving scenarios
 Enhanced privacy – drivers now have the ability to choose whether or not to synchronise or download their mobile contacts on to the system
 Ringtone – volume level is now adjustable
 Access to voice recognition software, such as Siri
 Additional language supp

Fast Scroll
For those customers who have a large number of contact names stored in their phone, the
Fast Scroll feature will help them find those contacts later in the alphabet faster.
Quickly turning the ‘Tone - ♪’ dial engages the Fast Scroll feature by allowing the user to skip to the beginning letter of the name of the contact rather than each individual contact.
This function is also available when using audio streaming to move quickly through the track list.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming
In line with the latest 15MY vehicles, the upgrade now offers Bluetooth audio streaming. Using the latest A2DP protocol, the software allows music to be streamed from supporting
Bluetooth devices.
There is a new “BT” option when source is selected which switches to the Bluetooth device. Track and artist data are also shown on the display screen.

BTW, the SIRI / OK Google voice activiation option is already available in newer cars without this BT upgrade.

On such a car this seems money well spend.......since you have a MY12 car, this upgrade is not that expensive

I just purchased a 2013 Vantage and it came with a cable that plugs into the connector next to the USB port. It appears to have the older iPod/iPhone 30-pin connector. Presumably you could use a 30-pin to lightning converter to hook up a newer iDevice. I'm just using a flash drive for my music.
