08 Roadster Build with a complete V12 styling kit complete...
I am going to be replacing the deck lid with either an OEM V12 unit (I don't like this seems created by an aftermarket ducktail) or a carbon fiber Hamann spoiler.
Not sure where the thought arose to stick a spoiler on the back of these cars (outside of track application, of course). In my view, the car's lines are simply perfect. I would go with OEM here. IMHO, always so, anything else is simply tacky.
I am a fan of Hamann, I have their body kit on my Porsche Cayenne. However, I agree that the spoiler does take away from the beautiful lines of the Aston. I went the aftermarket carbon fiber spoiler but do like the V12 OEM rear deck lid better.

I believe the original design is perfect. Every attempt to at a lip or spoiler detracts from the purity of the original design. My 2 cents
I have the same general feelings, but I wanted to reach out before I drop a sh*& load of money on this... OBVIOUSLY, the OEM unit is way more expensive - and not a part that is just sitting on the shelf... while trunks for coupes and decklids for regular V8s are relatively cheap and available... my research has uncovered that the same cannot be said for the V12 roadster decklid. (It's not even on the parts list at scuderia or the like...) Luckily, AMBits' source at AM found one for me. Thanks all for confirming.

OE V12 hatch is the go to item. No doubt.
The Haaman tail will get you quickly on #Gaskings Ricer of the year video
I am swaping out my DB9 decklid for the DBS one for the same reason. I dont care for the V Collection lip (very nice and looks okay) but I dont like the seam. Will be offering the Lip to Forum members when I take it off the OE trunk.

Car is looking great though!!!!!!
I totally agree with you sir. I am just one to explore all options before I go forward. (It took me 6 months to decide on handles for my kitchen remodel...)
I've just placed the order with AMBits - Kirsty has been awesome throughout this entire project - $5,100 down, but I'll probably sell the OEM deck lid (in perfect condition) for $1,200 on eBay to try and fool myself that this was a good decision. (But honestly, the front and side look so aggressive now w/springs, wheels, etc... that the butt just looks too soft.)
Within the month, I should have it on - car wrapped in a wet black satin matte - and the carbon fiber speedster humps should be ready too.

I have worked with Kirsty today also. She has been a big help on my trunk re-fitting.
All in mine should end up being 3k or so just for the decklid. Ready to install pricing.
I wanted to keep my OE one without taking anything off it. But not fully gonna happen. Since my DB9 is a 05 very rare 6-speed I have to keep my OE decklid due to possible value going up one day. Needs to be back to OEM if values go up, so gotta keep all parts and not do anything drastic.
Will share my swap when done in May. But Ambits has been helpful to me too. I will still have to figure wiring out and where the wiring looms go due to Back Window high mounted tail light which will now be in the tail. Thought about blocking in the tail hole for the clear light and just keep running the high mount window one, but that would look odd I think.
Well sorry ahead of time for being honest but ......
Another beautiful looking Aston destroyed by butt ugly black wheels and carbon fibre do-dads everywhere and to cap it off your going to wrap the thing like some shrink wrapped turkey at the supermarket. !!! Have you seen how freakin ugly those things are in that shrink wrap plastic .
Im done now .....
