V8 Vantage Shock replacement options

Hello Everyone,

I am a new V8 Vantage owner having just bought an 08 V8 Roadster. Bought the car remotely from a used car dealer and wasnt able to have it checked out by an Aston knowledgeable mechanic. It was a one owner with 25k miles and I was able to obtain service records so seem like a reasonable gamble. When I received the car I knew it needed a service. Took it to my local independent BR Racing in Los Gatos Ca for the work. Upon inspection of the car he identified a couple things I didnt expect. First was some seepage from the timing cover (which I later learned is common on the 4.3 cars) and he stated that the shocks are leaking. I looked at the shocks and frankly could only see a darker color near the top, no real fluid. The car seems fine as to ride quality but yesterday on a spirited drive I noticed a little pogo effect in the rear after going over a bump at high speed.

So I am looking to replace the shocks as a result.

Prior to the shock replacement which I hadn't planned on I did want to install a lowering spring kit. So now I am looking for the best solution for both shocks and springs. What options are there for shock replacement? My google searches haven't turned up any options. The factory shocks are $1k apiece from what I found. I also understand that they went to Bilstein in the 09 USA model year. Are they compatible with the 08? And where is a good source for these parts? Your insight will be appreciated.
