High flow cats throwing codes

In an 07 Vantage that I've bought the cats are throwing codes. I can flash the codes, but they return within a day of driving usually. I assume the guy I bought it from did this as well right before I picked up the car

Are there any high flow cats that are known not to throw any codes? I like the existing configuration (high flow cats / x-pipe / stock exhaust ), but may move to regular cats with a different exhaust if I can't resolve the issue.

Thanks in advance

Are the o2 sensors still good? Do you have a tune on the car?

The gas mileage is not bad at all so I assume they are still functional. I am highly doubtful there is any kind of tune, but the car is second hand so cannot rule it out for certain.

Post-Cat sensors will not play with MPG or performance. Pre-Cat sensors are the ones that will mess with enrichment etc.. Post-Cat sensors only ensure your cats are present and functioning. High flows usually don't cause any o2 faults unless the o2 sensors are failing or the cats are actually failing.

Which bank and location is actually causing the code(s)? Do you have a list of codes present?

My post-cat O2 sensors failed after installing high-flow cats. Replaced the O2 sensors 2 years ago and no problems since then.

P2196 Is a Bank 1 Sensor 1 code. That would be a primary sensor. This is on cylinders 1-4. I think this is US passenger side. UK driver's side if I recall correctly. If it were me; I would replace both Primary o2 sensors first and reset the codes. Hell I would probably just do all 4 since you are already there. This is assuming nothing is hacked, melted or in the wrong location. I saw an e46 M once that had melted o2 wires (laying on the aftermarket headers), and the crap shop installed them in the wrong locations.
