I have been called out (duty) and may have to leave on short notice.
Can I leave my beloved Aston for 5 months with no attention, I was thinking of just removing the positive battery terminal?
It stands in a garage and will be covered.
Advise appreciated

I left my Ferrari and other four cars for 5 months when my family moved to Maui in between moves. Trickled charger, stabile, and carpet under the tires, zero issues. Don't worry about it, and thanks for your service!
Thanks for comments, my concern with the battery tender is that if it gets hot or malfunctioned during my absence I would not know and would hate to get home home to a pile of ash?
Could I not just leave battery disconnected?

LOL, not likely, but yes you can leave it disconnected for 5 months.
If you have jack stands, I would leave car on stands as to prevent flat spots on the tires, you do not have too, it is something I like to do.

Inflate the tires to 50 psi
Trickle charger or remove the negative battery terminal
Ctek chargers are remarkably good-I have never experienced a problem with them

All good advice. This no different than putting a car up for winter storage.
C-tek chargers are very reliable. Have used them for winter storage on several cars. Disconnecting the battery may require a number of codes to be reset later.
Fill the gas tank and add Stabil to the gas to keep it fresh. Add a few extra pounds of pressure to the tires.
If mice are an issue, I recommend buying a storage bag to seal a the entire car. You can also add desiccant (moisture absorbing bags) to keep the car dry.
Hope this helps.

+1 on the Moisture absorbing bag or like kind stuff (I use the prepackaged plastic cups of Damp Rid with carbon). Put one in the trunk as well. And yes a ctek/Aston battery tender with the tender unit placed outside the car. When restarting remember to follow the return to service " after storage procedures". Thanks for your service!
