2010 Vantage V8 Nav Screen Binding

The car that I am considering has been reported as having a nav screen that doesn't always open fully due to binding. Is this a known issue and if so what is it like to fix?

Thanks

Are they sure they know what fully open looks like? They don't open full vertical like you would think, they always have a forward angle to them.

There are plastic gears that fail. Inexpensive parts, about an hour of labor at the dealer.

Or DIY.

It is from a PPI report by an Aston Martin dealer.

Do you know how the nav display mounts on the console door?

Not too complicated a repair if you're handy...

Check out the link below:

Easy DIY with a little insight from the various posts on 6speed...did mine a few years ago; parts are very inexpensive.
