V12S thoughts
It's nearing the end of February, and I wondered where the OP ended up. I was in the exact spot you were/are.
I had a 2014 V8VS that I enjoyed but didn't care for the SportShift II. I looked for almost two months at the 2015 V12s that are scattered around the country in the high 120s. (There is a beautiful, 1800 mile, well optioned '15 V12 in Dublin, CA for instance - i can't tell you how many times I looked at that car online, and now its 123k). I also looked at various '14-'17 911s but ended up trading my V8 and a late model M3 on one of the few remaining new dogleg manuals for the driving experience and exclusivity. I did love the sound of the V8 car (a well optioned Q-spec interior specimen), but the V12 is just completely next level in every way. And the manual makes it all the more engaging.
Anyway, very interested to see where you ended up. Many of the V12s that were available late last year came down 5-6k in January so there are some compelling choices (like a certain Quantum silver B&O car in CA...haha). Let us know!

I'm also in the market for a V12V manual albeit over here in Switzerland.
I have an offer for a great new V12VS manual in Aston Martin Racing green with Sports Plus Pack and a lot of carbon. Looks absolutely fantastic imo and it's not the usual black/silver/grey scheme.
It'll cost in the mid 180' CHF - official Retail Price with all equipment is 230' CHF (translates to 196 / 244 USD)
I'd love to have the car but am unsure about the depreciation to be expected.
Instant classic with stable prices or depreciation down to 100' in five years...probably the later - need a proper crystal ball.
Does anyone have global production Numbers for V12VS and V12VS manual?

STUNNING! I am very jealous!
that V12 looks fantastic. I am looking for a Vantage and have felt the 'pull' towards a V12. A couple of you have responded with suggestions/comments about the V12 which i appreciate. Most of the V12 talk on this thread is around the newer ones, especially 7 speed manual. I was wondering what people thought about the early manual ones? Like 2011 and 2012. Those fit my price range better. Curios if anyone has experience with that model/year. Thanks

Do you regularly park it in front of a Porsche Center?

I finally had a chance to drive a V12S manual last week. The car is simply beautiful and extremely well built. I found it so much nicer than my my 2008 on the interior. As for the manual and the v12 it is an interesting car. I have not driven manual in a few years but owned a stick for several years in the 90s so obviously it was going to take some time to get used to it. The gear pattern is funky and will some learning for sure but i did find the clutch and gear throws/gates to be awesome. My one issue is that the car is so powerful in first gear I could barely stop it from spinning the tires. I found it easier to start in second. The engine is a dream with gobs of power in nay gear whether at low speed, high speed, low gear, high gear. The sound is incredible and the handling was other worldly with the combo of steering and suspension. I did not find it too tough or too loose.
Overall I was thoroughly impressed but I am still thinking about it as the asking price of a slightly used manual is $190K and I am concerned with depreciation on the car. Honestly if I can buy it for $175 its probably a great price.

I bet the 5-10 years out price will be pretty solid on any of the NA V12 cars, especially in a manual. Certainly that is a lot of money, but it's also a lot of car.
If you spent 175K on a V12 Ferrari, what would that get you? I think the annual ownership cost would be more to offset the lower depreciation of the Ferrari. I bet the Ferrari would be a safer pick, but is it as cool?
Buying an Aston Martin is not a good financial decision either way, but that's not what it's about.
True. And I can't bring the $ with me when I die, might as well spend it on something I absolutely adore.
