Crash mode reset

Hi All,

I have a Aston Martin Rapide MY12 which I bought from a friend. The car is good, but seems like I cant get rid of the CRASH MODE on the display. My friend has somehow convinced me that there is no problem with the car, and its only because of bad fuel. The car has no history of accidents. I had it checked at a reputed Garage here but they dont have any solution to it. I haven't visited the dealer because I know for a fact that they will overcharge me since the car is out of its warranty period. I've look all around for a solution but in vain. I understand I am amidst Aston Martin veterans, and would really appreciate your views on this.

Thanks again

Why would the dealer rip you off? 1hr labor to start diagnosis, maybe your friend would split it with you? If it's $200 to fix your done. I'd start with making sure your battery is fresh.

Unhappy

Took it last night to have a battery test done, but doesn't seem like a battery issue. The voltage was 14.25v and the condition is good. My mechanic had a look at the electrical system with his Autel Maxisys pro and all electricals are good. Apparently there is a special function to reset this CRASH MODE, it can be done on the AM using the volvo XC90 path.
Tried that too but no luck
I use only RON98 on the car, and there doesn't seem to be a fuel contamination issue.

Is there a manual reset that can be done? Does the ECM need a reflash

The dealer is good 2.5 hours away from my place, so Im looking at other options well before I can send it to the dealer.

Running out of ideas and cant seem to find the root cause of the problem.

Ideas and suggestions are much appreciated.
