Ten Year Maintenance Requirements

Was just looking through the owners manual under the servicing periods and came across additional service items.

Aston Martin says airbags and seat belt pre-tensioners need to be changed at ten years. The manual even has a box for the dealer stamp and sign off.

Has anyone have this done? Are all the airbags affected? If you had it done do you have an idea of the cost?

I have a 2007 Vantage so I am past the required time to change.

Thats just a liability dodge so if you dont do it and are in an accident and the air bags dont deploy etc you cant go after the mothership for money . JMHO

My dealer said not necessary re the airbags (also many other manufacturers say 14 years). We didnt discuss the seat belt pre tensioners

There are threats here and other sites on seat belt debates on replacing...most are as Glaze stated if working leave alone...

Otherwise send out to repair shop to check and send back...I son had a 2003 Mustang that had bad seat belts...not really a huge cost job.

Good luck
