My front right speaker cover is loose. AM dealer thinks it broke from the pins behind. They tried a double stick tape to keep in place to no avail.

They looked up a replacement part and it's $800 for the speaker cover! They said, "hey; it's a 200k car..." Ok, that should make it a $400 piece... Yikes; $800 for a plastic cover?

Where can I find them more reasonably priced? We plan to try an alternate way of keeping the cover flush with the door. It's not a huge deal, but I would like 100% fixed...

 

Its aluminum glued to plastic. Have them remove it so you can fix it yourself.

 

That cover is aluminum? Doesn't feel like it. Maybe that is what they have planned? To fix it after they remove it? They are pretty good at doing non-standard fixes on stuff for the customer.
