'09 V8VR - A few 10yo clean ups
As my '09 V8VR hits 10yo, there are a few cosmetic items I'd like to address
First is chrome door window trim that has started to loosen. I can push it down but it eventually loosens up again. Suggestions on what to use to adhere it?
Second is a white line that has appeared on the clear protector tape for the convertible top. The car has been cleaned and detailed ... and it will not go away. Has anyone figured out a way to remove the white line ... or remove and replace that tape?

Have not, but that's a good idea. The car was just in for a clean, detail and full ceramic coat so I'm not exactly sure what they tried on it.

that same thing would show up on mine every couple months. i would use a terry cloth and just a small amount of goo gone and it would look right as rain
the trim pieces I went cheap and used gorilla glue and as the chrome was losing its plastic chrome i had all the trim removed and painted to match the exterior before placing back on
when you take it off its kind of sad how flimsy and you couldnt tell it from something off a 10 year old mustang

Most materials used to protect auto paint such as vinyl bras are made of UV resistant polyurethanes which are also abrasion resistant. Keep in mind the word resistance, it's UV or abrasion proof. I too have an '09 V8VR and have noticed the original bra has yellowed (amber is the technical term) and I can see the dirt lines on the edges and requires careful cleaning. So I assume your issue is a combination of both.
After you let us know what you've tried I may have a suggestion and it will be way out of the box. The worst case is you replace the vinyl strip
