I’m just purchasing the vehicle now so I’m unsure how it was driven in the past but it seems to me someone didn’t know what they were doing LOL

Alot of clutch burn comes from hard launches with the traction control on. All it's doing is applying rear brakes to keep the tires from breaking loose and smoking the clutch. Tires are cheap, clutches aren't, and nannies just suck anyway.

Mine was fried at 5700, back brakes were at 5mm, fronts were at 8mm. All you need to know.

Yes, it's sitting in the shed. The mechanic fully assembled it when he gave it back to me, I don't know why but he did.

I considered the dual flywheel VAP clutch when I replaced my clutch on my 2009 vantage with 23000 mi.

the price from the dealer for OEM was about $3600 all in for parts and labor so I went that direction as I don't track the car. if you have a true manual and no ASM, you also have the option for the OEM AMR clutch.

$3600 had to be Orlando, I think they were the only reasonable price shop in FL. It's 5k here [and several other AM dealers in FL]

Has anyone measured the thickness of a new stock clutch plate? Curious what width they are new.

I have the clutch / p plate/ flywheel for my DB9 in a box in the garage.

I have about 1/16" (.060", 1.5mm) of thickness above the rivets. This is pretty close to the new thickness for a Luk clutch in a BMW.

I replace it now, or replace it later... Given the cost, I'd rather do it later. Getting the tranny/torque tube loose won't be hard the second time but if it started out 3/16" over, I'm going to renew.
