Annoying squeal from rear wheel?

One of my rear wheels (I assume it's the brake) is squealing almost constantly. For some reason the squeal quiets down after making left turns, but increases substantially after making right hand turns. The squeal will continue until I make a left turn.. I assume this is just causing a rear brake pad to shift a bit, but concerned there may be a more serous issue.

It sounds like brake squeals are a very common thing on the Vantage, but I'm curious if this is common while driving normally and not while braking. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance.

Common handbrake pad noise. Do a search. You can lightly lift the handle and release at slow speeds to change it.

The handbrake pads may be glazed.

Had that happen to me. The sound just came out of no where and got louder and louder on a late night drive home. Was hoping to make it my house before something major sounding was going to happen. Called the dealer and they said it could be a pebble or rock; they said it happens frequently. I back the car out of the garage and sound went away. I was quite nervous on all the expensive possibilities until I backed the car out of the garage. Dodged a bullet!

Schreech...what the hell was that?

Happened to me twice. Horrible, slow speed noise. Pulled into a convenient church parking lot. Backed a couple feet, noise was gone. Same , "dodged a bullet" feeling you had.

Second time, years later, as I entered my favorite gas station (over priced but easy approaches and never crowded). Same noise, it turned out to be a small acorn. Now I was an expert. Backed up a foot or two and I heard it hit the ground right behind my ear.

Both occurrences, I believe, were to rear wheels. Seems the design of the aluminum brake stone shields, incomplete light weight stamped circles, inboard of the rotors, can trap small, just the right size, not too big, not too small, stuff.
