can not start the engine after changing the battery!

hello everybody!

My AM VANTAGE V8 2008 speedshift- made for dealership in Russia. Was bought in Moscow absolutely new.,
now it's only 8200km on it

So I have got a new battery.
But after replacing, I could not start the engine.
Some guys were advising me to find the reset button on the floor. But I didn’t find it.
As far as I understand this reset button was provided only with US cars.

Probably I am blind. But I can’t see it.
Maybe someone has had already the same problem

The indicator of speed position says: auto . Instead of N when I am trying to start the engine. And the start button is not lighted by red when I am pushing it.

I also have tried to get the speedshift gearbox in N by pushing N button (twise) while the ignition was open, and also by pulling paddle shifters twise. But didn’t work.

I have no dealer in my country. Unfortunately.

So, I think there are two reasons :
First - the computer doesn’t see the N position

Second- it asks me for a reset

But I can’t figure out with any of these.

Sorry for my English.

I will be very appreciate for useful comments

Look in the owners manual and see if it tells you there. If you dont have one, then maybe email or call AM and ask where your models button is. My DB9s is a yellow push button basically right where the battery is. Yours MAY be on the carpet section FACING the back of the seats somewhere. Hope some of these ideas help. Would love to see some pics of the car in Russia.

2008 does not have a reset button, its electronic thru key on signal. You need to figure out you transmission issue, car will not start unless in neutral. If you have lost fluid or have a hydraulic pump fault isn't going to happen until it sees true N gear position. Does the pump run when you open the driver's door?
