AMV8 06 strange motor running at rear after enigine turn off

AMV8 06 strange motor running at rear after enigine turn off
ive owned this vantage for 5 years and have never noticed this … after turning off the ignition, I hear a small motor running near the driver side rear tire. any idea what it could be? it turned off after about a min or two.

Normal, smog equipment doing its job.

never really noticed it. is it a fan to clear out exhaust gas or something... vent for gas tank? anyone know what it does . Is it a fan, a motor, compressor,.... curious.

slade is infamous around these parts
It is a pump which tests the integrity of the fuel tank and the fuel vapor system. If it fails the test it sets a code and check engine light, it is like leaving a fuel cap loose.
