Has anyone had the seat belt webbing replaced on their cars? My driver's side is starting to fray badly, and would prefer to avoid replacing the entire mechanism......
I see a few sites online offering the replacement.

I'd be interested in this too as I'd like to swap my belt colour and AM don't have a suitable option. Please keep us posted!

 

I had mine replaced on my 2006 V8 Vantage back in 2011 under warranty. They had to polish a part inside the trim that was rubbing and caused the fraying. For another vehicle I used a company called Safety Restore, you send them your seat belt mechanism and they will replace with any color that you wish; they were fast and easy to deal with.

 

 

Seems to be a common problem. My MY2010 car had them replaced in 2018 because of wear....... can be done with OEM or non-OEM belts. Takes some time to dismount and mount again.
