15% Ethanol Gas
USEPA is proposing to allow gasoline with 15% ethanol to be available year round. This may mean that more stations will have only E-15, rather than only E10. Some manufacturer's owner's manuals specifically state whether gas with greater than 10% ethanol is acceptable. However, I can find no reference to allowable ethanol % in my 2009 Vantage V8 owner's manual. I'd like info on AM's official spec on allowable ethanol % for my Vantage.

I've seen a few dealerships use ethanol treatments during services as preventive maintenance. They were using the BMW-branded treatment (from Chevron, if I remember correctly).
Ethanol is terrible stuff for cars that aren't specifically designed for it. You can get the treatments from any parts store and it might be worthwhile and cheap insurance against future problems.

I've never let gasoline contaminated with ethanol enter the tank. It has a higher moisture content (which is why it can't be piped), lower energy content, and is a technical, policy and environmental disaster.
