Oil level indicator

For some reason the oil level indicator on my '15 V12 Vantage S has come on. The dipstick indicates that the oil level is full, so I suspect that this is a sensor issue. The car was fine when I drove it home on Friday, then first start on Saturday the level warning came on. Has anyone seen this issue before? Any input would be helpful and appreciated.

Maybe this might help.

Mine came on the other day too and when I checked it was just a tad bit under the MAX line. Thought it might be the sensor then I discovered something. According to the manual, you have pull out the dipstick from the tube, making sure the MIN-MAX side is facing the engine. I know it sounds crazy but I did that and it showed 1/2 way down from MAX. Filled up and light went away.

Here's the exact quote:

Fully insert the dipstick into the dipstick tube with the Min. and Max. marking on the blade upwards (facing towards the engine). Withdraw the dipstick again
