Ooof! First the BoP penalty and now Marco Sørensen crashed in the 95 car after taking pole position last Thursday.

I've been to the 24h the last 3 years and last year I said to many the rules are rigged a bit giving unfair advantages, especially to new cars entering the race.

It was a terrible weekend on the racetrack for AML. The BoP decision rather than the actual race is very disappointing.
Hopefully, in the future, there is more transparency of these last-minute adjustments in the future - for the fans and the creditability of the race.

No Aston Martin fan complained about the BoP application last year.
It’s interesting that the BoP is now the enemy. ( Smile)
The last few years no car benefited more from the BoP than the Aston Martin Vantage. No car has been penalized more than the Ford GT.
I said that the new Vantage would not have the same BoP advantage and I was right. Aston has created a mechanically better car than last year. Their reward, just like the Ford GT, is a harsher application of the BoP .

Sad to see the performance, but that wasn't all due to the BoP. There was something else going on, be it excessive tire wear or whatever. Pole doesn't mean jack at Le Mans and they should have known from previous years to do a better job of sandbagging. They could have started 10th and it wouldn't have mattered. But they did get screwed. The top several cars were all within a second and there should have been no BoP adjustment based on that.
