OBD-II scanners for 2007 DB9
OBD-II scanners for 2007 DB9
Hi all - I just realized (I am a bit slow) that a lot of effort could be solved with me having my own OBD-II scanner. I have done the 'net search, and found the Foxworth NT520 to be appropriate for my DB9. Are there any others that would be good? What is the collective wisdom regarding scanners? With the recent issue with my airbag warnings, I want to be fully armed whenever I go to dealer or indy mechanic. I also found an indy mechanic in the Philly area that specializes in AM. I appreciate your help.

Congrats on the new car Scott, I have a DB9 and live in Hockessin, DE so interested in the mechanic info
. Based on the FB AM groups, most use the simple amazon bluetooth scanner with an android device. A friend of mine uses the bluedriver on his vantage. Hope this helps.

That is who I was planning to use, although heard good things about Red line Motors in Pottstown. 60 minutes one way and 40 the other.
Hi Scott... I do not know the other company. Jon at Steel Wings...rebuilds old Aston Martins but is able to stay current with the modern Astons...
Very honest company that cares about your car...I had them install rear tires and other stuff done on my car two months ago.
Prior work was changing all the fluids and filters when I first got my car.
If you are a dealer type guy...I found Summit in North Jersey better then local AM dealer.
I would suggest if any doubts visit Steel Wings and the other company...then decide for yourself...
Good luck

I think the 5xx series have more features than the 6xx but you only get 1 free marque on the 5xx.
FYI there is currently a flash sale including the NT530.

I just purchased the Foxwell NT520Pro (Aston Martin version) moments ago. Should arrive in the next few days. That is a good thing, as I got a CEL and warning "Emissions Systems Diagnostic" message as I was driving home. I think that the bad & rough roads on the way home, along with lots of rain probably got the sensor wet or shook the connection loose - speculation on my part. Car ran great, and I got excellent gas mileage - 22 mpg on the highway (I wasn't driving very fast).
Sliderule01,
I'm in Reading PA and just had the same Emmissions warning. I ordered the Foxwell NT520 and they sent me the newer NT530. It seems to work fine for me and I just replaced the MAFs and solved my issues. How did yours work out?

It worked out well - cleared the codes and it hasn't returned yet. I still need to clear the airbag warning for passenger side but I need to calibrate the seat first. If the weather is nice this weekend, I will attempt it. BTW, I am just down 422 from you at Collegeville. Nice have someone close for questions.
