Drivers Door Ding

Stupid question for my 07 V8V does the drivers door "ding ding ding" while is open? The only time that has done that on my previous cars is when I left the lights on.

Thanks
Thom

I thought that the lights were "Auto" since if I leave the switch on, the lights shut off. So the dinging is because I am a dummy.

Thanks

You are not a dummy...I explained wrong. Main headlights ok...but parking lights will cause a dinging when door is opened.
Thanks for correcting me....

the lights are not "auto" in the sense that they turn on via a light sensor the way most modern cars now do... Leaving in the on position means the car just shuts the headlights off with the ignition and turns them back on when you start the car.... so its more light "auto off..." I guess.
