New V8V owner

Hi all!

New 2013 V8V owner - Mariana Blue and it’s beautiful. I also have an 06 Elise and the forum has been invaluable. Looking forward to being part of the AM family.

Greetings from San Antonio TX

Nice. My Vantage also shares the garage with my Elise. I like to think of them as the bookends of the sports car spectrum. I love the Britishness of the cars. So much personality.

Great minds think alike!

I took the Vantage for its first drive on some backroads today and the experience is so much different than the Elise.

I did not feel nearly as confident in the AM but I am still learning the car. The acceleration is quite the treat though!

You'll never feel as confident as with the Elise. The Lotus is a magical mechanical device . But the Vantage has excellent chassis and steering feel for a big boy. It really seems to shrink around you and even though sight lines kind of suck, it does get to feel very controllable. A lot has to do with the chassis communication that all other modern cars have lost.

My two favorites marques! Someone local to me has an Evora and V8V. That's a nice one-two punch you got there. Enjoy the Vantage.

Congrats! Beautiful AM. Although I have not yet bought one, I have found this site tremendously helpful in educating me. I hope to pull the trigger on one soon. BTW, I'm also in San Antonio, small world.

Thank you for all the kind comments. Will be joining AMOC South Central - not sure I’ll be able to keep up with everyone on a drive but we will see

There is a white V8V available at Mark Motors in Boerne right now. It has an interesting history but is cheap. Check it out. I picked this one up in Austin
