Sales service question

I ordered a new Vantage and I've been having a very difficult time getting information from my local (unnamed) dealership here in the U.S. Since my order in early May I've yet to be given a price for the car I ordered and the estimates on delivery have been inconsistent. I'm baffled by this as I've visited the Aston factory and can't see why my dealer wouldn't know specifically if my car is through the build process as it seemed pretty organized.

I'm on brink of cancelling my order as I'm getting cold feet on the brand. I'm a long time Porsche owner and have ordered cars from them and other European manufacturers. Is my experience "normal" when dealing with Aston Martin or does it feel like this is specific to my dealer?

Their attitude seems to be that I'm lucky to be getting an Aston and mine is they are lucky to be getting my money. Maybe I'm lucky to be finding this out now....

Any insights would be helpful. Please understand I'm not comfortable naming the dealership.

What colors and options did you order? Can you work with the factory direct? How do you order a car and not be given a price? I have never ordered a new car that I had to wait for.

Look up Andy Palmer on Twitter , send him a tweet , he doesnt take kindly to customers getting the run around from dealerships .
