It for sure isn't to find out if anyone else has had "dodgy dealings with them".

What a whiner.

Op - just hang out, it will be worth it. Their quality is outstanding and they have the knowledge to help you build.

I have know Stuart for many years and he has always had time to help, has always been honest and as you say, kind.

I would suspect there are two sides to this story and at the least, a busy season mistake. I feel like Velocity is one of the good guys and would suggest some patience before you get so personal with your delay.

I for one am very glad you made this post. Sounds like a terrible experience. Hopefully it was just an accident. But not being reachable for months does seem very shady.

I find this post a little harsh and a bit unfair. Give em chance to rectify.

So I went ahead and paid in full. Now they are saying it’s made to order and won’t be ready to ship until January 10th.

I thought Canadians are known for their kindness. My workshop has booked in 1week for my car and now it has to be put off indefinitely as we are not confident they will even make their new deadline.

Once the trust is broken how can it be restored? The only reason I ordered with them is because of the forum members both on here and on PistonHeads who had them installed and wrote about it.

Has anyone else here have dodgy dealings with them?
I really don't think it's fair to say this is "dodgy dealings" at all. I've dealt with them a couple times and they have definitely gone out of their way to help resolve issues with my car. It sounds like your shipment was delayed only a week or two. There isn't any reason to try and shame that as "dodgy", "shady", or whatever. It sounds like you're pissed because you booked time without considering the smallest possibility of a shipping delay. You could have just waited like a normal person until the parts got to you.

What an incredible attention seeking first post. Having bought almost everything they offer from a performance upgrade respective for Aston Martin’s, I couldn’t help but read your clickbait title. I have to admit it was extremely underwhelming and seemed like a whiny attention grabbing post. Calling them a disgrace because your parts shipped a week and a half late says more about you.

Stu and his team are incredible in the aftermarket business for our cars. No one is perfect in this life but they do a lot for our small community.

Glad to see the grown ups replying. Holy **** that's a lot of entitlement and whining about nothing significant. Your country is on fire and you're upset that your exhaust hasn't arrived yet because you booked install time before receiving it? lol

Rich,
Enjoy the break. I was waiting until you returned to go full hulk smash (just kidding). I forwarded you the email already. I was hoping to make the user realize that we all have to wait occasionally, it is ok. If it came across as me being an *** (which I am sure many will say that I am an *** all the time), I apologize.

As for "disgrace"... none of us are infallible, but Stuart and VelocityAP are some of the very few people I trust wholeheartedly. Stuart is one of the hardest working guys in this industry - not just for Astons, but anything automotive. Some things are outside of our control but we do our best to manage those things. He or one of his employees may have made a mistake somewhere, as all of us do from time to time, but it wasn't done maliciously or with any dishonesty.

Can you email your order number to rich@redpants.lol please? That should have shipped by now, no reason for it to be this far behind. I'll look into it and take care of it right away.
You'll get an automated email response as I'm on a working vacation in Japan but I'll see the email and will take care of it.

Hello, and thank-you for posting your frustrations. We would always rather know when someone is unhappy, than have them go away quietly and seethe. I am familiar with your order because I handled it directly with our Australian distributors Scuderia Auto Art. Your order was placed with us on December 4th for a full power pack (Headers, Sport Cats, ECU Tuning, Intake Kit + Touring Exhaust) as well as our Twin Plate Clutch Kit. At the time that the order was placed, we told them that the power pack was in stock and ready to ship (it was, and still is.) We also told them that the clutch kits were only partially in stock and that we had some components on back order from Aston Martin and that we believed they would be ready to ship in around 2 weeks.

These components were delayed getting to us from our supplier (they had issues getting them in a timely fashion) and shipped to us just before Christmas. Recognizing how important these orders are to our customers, I personally arranged to meet our DHL driver on Christmas Eve to take delivery of the parts so that there was no risk of them being lost in the holiday shuffle. There is one component in the kit - the release bearing spacer - which needs to be machined down to a lesser thickness. Our machine shop unfortunately closes between Christmas & New Year and consequently we were not able to get the parts to them until today - Monday the 6th. Therefore all the items ought to be ready to ship tomorrow.

It sounds like you're very frustrated that things didn't work out as expected, and both I and VelocityAP as a whole are sorry about that and share your frustrations. We did everything we could to get your order shipped as fast as possible and to provide the most accurate information we could.

There are a few Factual items to address here:

- I personally have been in near constant contact with Bruno from our distributor Scuderia Auto Art, and they in turn have been in contact with your local dealer in Western Australia who ordered the parts from them. I spoke to him several times on the phone, over the holidays, as well as twice this weekend, and multiple emails. Not once has there been a point at which we have been unresponsive, or failed to provide accurate and transparent information.
- It is not correct to say that we stated that the parts were in stock and now are saying they are made to order. The parts which we said were in stock were, and still are in stock.
- It sounds like you feel there has been a communication breakdown. I would be interested to know where this has happened because if you as the customer haven't been getting any updates that's concerning.
- As far as I am aware the order was cancelled yesterday. VelocityAP didn't take payment from you, nor have we taken payment from our distributor so if you have cancelled the order and require a refund that would need to come from your local dealer/shop who you paid for the parts. If that isn't forthcoming please let us know and I would be happy to get involved.

Besides, they did give some significant discounts; I can wait a little longer for the quality parts I know I'll get.
Thanks for your patience. The clutch kits were massively popular in our sale, more so than in previous years and more so than expected so we went through our in stock inventory pretty quickly.

I even had a couple instances on these and another product where people called to check inventory, placed orders later the same day and the stock status had changed in just a few hours!

This is exactly why I chose Velocity for my tune. You seem like a real stand up guy, which is something rare to find these days.

Well, I am outraged that the larger quad exhaust tips for the 2019 Vantage aren't available yet!

@Stuart@VelocityAP please let me know as soon as these are available because I would like to order the tips and secondary cat delete pipes.

Thanks!

Well.... funny that you should ask. We have the guys at David Appleby Engineering test fitting one last set, just a minor adjustment from the last Beta set and I think we will be going ahead on a production run this month. Pricing TBC exactly but looks like around $995/set in ceramic coated black satin.

Stuart, normally we don’t allow flame threads, particularly those posted by someone who joined just to give a forum vendor a black eye. However, our sponsors are among the best in the business and are very seldom guilty of poor customer service, if ever. I let this thread run because it was good to see your customer base raising to your defense. Keep up the good customer service. It’s a good example for your competitors.

to the OP....it would seem that your delivery/communication problems began with your original vendor and his vendor and not with Stuart/Velocity AP. Perhaps you would like to flame them? Or, better yet, I think all 6speeders believe you owe Stuart and Velocity AP an apology. Where is that “Aussie” sense of fair play?
