use of odb memory saver when replacing battery?

looking at changing out the battery in my 2010 v8v and while i have read up on the techniques of removal and installation, can see nothing on preserving the computer codes. I was planning on using an odb memory saver like the schumacher odb-l odbII memory saver detector during the install. Any thoughts on this?

Can't hurt to try. Should work as advertised.

I asked this question a while ago on this forum. I was told to use a higher amp charger because of the higher electronic use. not sure I agree with this and haven't replaced my battery yet

I replaced the battery in my 09 Vantage last summer. Not sure if I needed to, but I connected another 12v car battery in parallel to the leads on the battery I was replacing during the changeover. It was simple to do. Worked fine. No codes lost.
