Replacing Ski Slope/Centre Console

Hi all,

I got a metal backed ski slope to replace the old one for my DB9, a fitting kit was also required - see below.
Really struggling to see how the spring clip attaches to the black cover, I have seen online there are ones have two holes on it - perhaps they were for older models, whereas the new one don't.

Has anyone fitted one like this before?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advanced!

Looks like the spring is a DIY affair. All the pics I've seen of nav screens with the spring show it being attached to the back cover with a metal bracket.

On the spring, the two separate hook parts insert into holes or slots in the cover. This is how you connect and disconnect that cover, by reaching in with needlenose pliers or hemostats while prying open the cover or not letting it down all the way. Lift one "hook" up (it wants to spring back down) and insert into the cover, repeat for the other side.

The continuous length of the spring sits flat against the console itself. I assume it attaches to the console through the two holes on the sides with two of the springs. I didn't disconnect mine that far when I took the covers off to have re-veneered.

The spring belongs to a different back cover with holes in it.

Thanks all for the replies.
Had to drill a couple of holes on the cover in the end to get the spring attached.
