VelocityAP Apex Race Wheels New Product Announcement
i think the hood is from TRG for the GT4 cars.
Yeah now that I look at it, the VCollection hood has smaller scoops. That one is an adapted Aston Martin Racing GT3 hood.

Not sure how I missed this thread! It's great to see that VAP is representing and offering APEX wheels now Stuart! APEX is the real deal and I've been running them on multiple cars for years now. It doesn't hurt that they also look pretty too
Hey, this car looks familiar
I believe that will be Phase 2 for them but don't quote me on that!
The #47 Aston is my car. It's a street car with race parts. Feel free to check out more info of the build below so that I don't clutter Stuart's thread:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ed-up-v8v.html
- GT3 Hood w/ Aerocatch Latches
- GT4 Challenge Rear Section Exhaust
- Apex Race Parts SM10 Wheels (19x10)(19x11)
- Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tires (265/35)(305/30)

Stuart, Great look on the #47 coupe in your original post. Is it a GT4, or a "track special"?
What are the wheel dimensions and profiles (as illustrated in the Apex on line catalog)
Body appears to be an early car, no big Kamntail on the liftgate and an early fascia, but includes a hood with front corner latches and big holes.
More pictures of this car?

Ive just ordered a set of EC-7's for my Clubsport GT4 Project. Looking forward to getting them on! Lots of people using them here on the Nurburgring on BMW's already.
Ill post pictures as soon as I have them on!

Modification Inspiration
Stuart/FR500GT, Thanks for reinvigorating my "need to modify".
Stuart
Wheels are great...and you have sorted through all the alts. Done all the math and test fits and come up with a light weight, in production offering, that won't cost a house. Also like the offering to mount the appropriate improved Michelin street tires. Eliminates a complicated, time consuming step.
Can I achieve a similar overall height reduction, like #47, with your Progressive Taper Sport Lowering Springs?
FR500GT
Do you have better lit photos of your grille? Pics that illustrate its structure, attachment locations and expanded metal texture. Aluminum or steel?
As a retiree, with no deadlines to speak of it looks like a task I can accomplish. I would like to give it a try.
Anybody offering a cost effective, fiberglass version of your GT4 hood?
You guys have inspired me!

Glad we inspired you! It's a nice affordable option with some good style that allows you to upsize wheel width and drop a little wheel weight in the process. A 19x10 & 19x11 with 4s in 265/35/19 and 305/30/19 is dropping 10lbs total wheel weight over the stock 19's with Potenza, while gaining 1.5" per wheel and a lot of section width. IMHO that's enough gain and loss to feel the difference.
Jason's car was lowered on H&R, our drop is around 1/2" less than that. Not quite as tucked, but based on the feedback we have had the ride quality is much better with the tapered coil VAP springs, on poor quality roads.

Hi Stuart, does APEX racing offer custom offsets or custom finishes? Looking for the exact same fit as the N24 v8 vantage that had:
10" X 18" ET45 Front
11" X 18" ET48 Rear
I see on the website they have some offsets that are pretty close to that so I could just get some spacers to make up the difference but just wanted to check.

Hi Christian, custom is not available on these products. They are an 'off the shelf' fitment. It is possible to order wheels as bare/unfinished, but would be added to the next production run and probably would be several months to deliver.

Thank you Stuart, PM sent!
It is actually a V12 Vantage. The wing is a GT2 wing with custom mounts, the front lip and grille are AMR GT4 Spec. We can supply any of these products for the Vantage.

Modification Inspiration
Pendemic provided time to concentrate on mods to my 07 V8V coupe:
- Joined OE front aluminum pan with my Y-shaped aluminum rear. I had replaced V8's nonstructural plastic part years ago. Used sheet aluminum to fill the 6-7ft gap. Presto, a belly pan!
- Copied and installed Aston's race car grille in expanded aluminum. Primed it and painted with Plastadip.
- Created a front end skid plate from a large sheet of HTPE. Finished appearance is much like part FR500GT applied to his racer.
- Replaced OE 4# package tray with sheet aluminum and mounted a fire extinguisher. Finished weight is about same.
- Deleted OE blade diffuser as FR500GT did. Formed and installed a grille to protect exposed forward face of transaxle cooler.
- Change all Torx underbody fasteners with oval head allen bolts and stainless washers. Saves 50% of fastener weight, are more aerodynamic and have increased durability.
Kept busy, avoided non family in person contacts...no Kung Flu here.
